The 40th anniversary of ham radio on human spaceflight occurred recently (November 11 - 18). To celebrate, ARISS held an event transmitting SSTV images from the ISS throughout the week.
I was able to capture 3 of the 12 images using a handheld and the Robot36 app on my phone.
This was my first time capturing SSTV images. It was really cool! It felt like I was decoding some secret message. I'll definitely be checking their schedule to see when their next SSTV event is.
